New Iberia, LA – A service to celebrate Anitria's life will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church, 321 Center St, New Iberia, LA.

Visitation will begin Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10:30 PM at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church and conclude at the time of service.

Her earthly remains will be laid to rest at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery, Jeanerette, LA

Legacy of a Queen:  Anitria Tondria Jones was called home to glory on July 14,2026. She was born on April 27th, 1981, to Donnalita and Albert Jones III, in New Iberia, LA. Anitria who was also known as "Nene" or "Nitria" was well known and loved by many. Anitria was born and raised in New Iberia, LA, but later relocated to St. Martinville, LA with her family. She attended public schools in New Iberia. She worked in home health care for quite some time. Although Anitria was very blessed and spoiled to the point that she didn't even have to work if she did not want to. Her parents and big brother took very good care of her since childhood eventually having her daughters take over in her adulthood. Anitria had a very big heart and would give someone her last if she had to. Her doors were always open to those in need. She had a smile that would light up an entire room and the personality to match. She provided so much laughter and light to everyone's life. Anitria was also very blunt. She did not spare anyone's feelings, but she meant well. To know her was to absolutely love her. She was blessed with 4 children; two daughters: Armantasia Jones and Kendria Jones: two sons Da'Taven Zeno and Da'Karlon Jones all of New Iberia, LA. She was joined in union with Michael Zeno.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her parents, her 4 children, her siblings Dontae Jones (Krystal) of Youngsville, LA, Cory Jones, Ramone Mitchell both of Lafayette, LA, Stillman Joseph of California. Her grandbabies (g-babies) Asiya Vallaire and Kehlani Lockett. Her grandmother Winnie Moore. Two god-children Twyla Doucet and Da'Niya Blanchard. A host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Mary & Albert Jones Jr. and her maternal great grandparents Mary & Earl James.
