Delcambre - A Mass of Christian Burial Celebrating the life of Terry James Landry, 54, will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 206 West Church Street, Delcambre, LA. He was a native of New Iberia, LA and a resident of Delcambre, LA.

Viewing will begin at 9:00 AM at the church and conclude at 11:00 AM the recitation of the rosary at 10:00 AM.

Terry James Landry was born on Friday, November 19, 1971, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to the late Clement Landry, Sr. and Dorothy Brooks Landry. He departed this life on Monday, January 12, 2026, in Lafayette, Louisiana, having lived it with purpose, loyalty, and quiet strength.

He was baptized at St. Edward Catholic Church and received his early education in the Iberia Parish School System. He was a proud graduate of New Iberia Senior High School. He later served his country as a member of the United States National Guard. Terry continued his education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (formerly USL), where he studied accounting for three years.

An entrepreneur by nature, Terry had a sharp mind and a natural gift for strategy, numbers, and competition. He enjoyed friendly games of dice, pool, and cards, earning admiration for his skill, confidence, and focus on everything he pursued. Above all, Terry was a devoted family man. He loved his family deeply and took great pride in his grandchildren, whom he spoiled without hesitation. To them, their "Poppie" could do no wrong, and the love he shared with them was unconditional and filled with joy. Terry was also a passionate football fan and a loyal supporter of the New England Patriots. He looked forward to football season and took delight in following the games throughout the week. Quiet in nature yet strong in character, Terry was a good man who lived a full and meaningful life. He was well respected among his peers and throughout the communities of New Iberia, Delcambre, and the surrounding areas.

Terry James Landry was preceded in death by his parents, Clement Landry, Sr. and Dorothy Brooks Landry; paternal grandparents, Robley Landry, Sr. and Daisy Williams Landry; maternal grandparents, Wilson Brooks and Leetha Joseph Brooks; one niece, Englyn Roberts; and one brother-in-law, Ricky James.

He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish wonderful memories: his loving wife of 27 years, Stacey Trahan Landry of Delcambre, Louisiana; his children, Aryelle Landry of Delcambre, Louisiana; Raven Derouen of Youngsville, Louisiana; Ty'rik Landry of Delcambre, Louisiana; Trevor Boutte of New Iberia, Louisiana; and Graylin Patterson of Opelousas, Louisiana; his parents-in-law, Aaron and Rose Trahan of Delcambre, Louisiana; his siblings, Clement Landry, Jr. (Erica), Troy Landry (Sabrina), Kenneth Landry (Debra), Bryant Landry (Lillie), Terry Stokes and Swonnettia L. James, all of New Iberia, Louisiana; his brother-in-law, Schuyler Trahan (Brooke), and his sister-in-law, Brandy Roberts (Toney); his grandchildren, Kaylyn Oville, Graylin Patterson, Jr., Tylan Boutte, Khoi Boutte, Kendall Boutte, Tahj Boutte, Tyse Landry, Nola Catalon, and Lilly Lewis; along with a host of extended relatives and friends.

Terry James Landry's life and legacy will continue to live on through those who loved him most. With the comfort of knowing that his glorified body is now healed, he has indeed won the ultimate prize. He rests in perfect peace, having fought a good fight.
