Visitation will be held at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, 104 10th Street, Baldwin, LA on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 9:00 AM and conclude at the time of service.

Interment will be held at St. Helens Cemetery, Louisa, LA.

Rudie Dee Notto came bursting into this world on March 13, 1953, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Peter and Leona Notto. Raised in Glencoe, LA, Rudie was affectionately known as "Taunt" by her loved ones. She received her formal education in the St. Mary School System, laying the foundation for a life defined by kindness and dedication.

Rudie's compassionate nature was evident through her deep love for people. She spent many years working as a home health aide, dedicating herself to caring for others. Her family became accustomed to her clients joining family celebrations, holidays, and church functions, as wherever Rudie went, her clients were welcomed as part of the family. Rudie was also known for her cooking prowess. She spent the last several years as a cook for Catholic High School in New Iberia. Her passion for cooking was well-known among friends and family, who would request her specialties ranging from turkey rolls to pecan candy. Rudie made sure everyone felt welcome at her kitchen table. Rudie was an active member of the 4C's Ministries, where she served faithfully for many years. She held numerous positions over the years, always contributing her time and talents to serve her community and her faith.

Rudie departed this world on Sunday, January 25, 2026, to be reunited with her beloved daughter, Tresjola Colbert; her parents, Peter and Leona Notto; and siblings, Carolyn Brent and Gerald Jones Sr.

She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered forever by her sons, Corey Colbert (Danielle) of Baton Rouge and Leonard Colbert (Irene) of Texas City, Texas. She is also survived by her siblings: Kennie Notto (Regine) of Little Rock, Arkansas; Judy Fanniel of Houston, Texas; and Debra Lockley of Baldwin, Louisiana, as well as her sister-in-law, Martha Nell Jones of Duson, Louisiana. Her grandchildren include Tytianna Charles (TJ) of Humble, Texas; Ka'Brionte Jones (Anthony) of Jeanerette, Louisiana, Kayla Moore (Steven) of Lafayette, Louisiana, Kelli Moore of Lafayette, Louisiana; and Akeem Broussard (Demi) of New Iberia, Louisiana. Also leaving behind to live her legacy is her 13 Great-grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memories, her best friend, Rose Curtis.

Rudie's legacy of love, service, and faith lives on in all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
