PERCY  "NOONIE" BAYTOP, JR.

New Iberia – A Celebration of Life for Percy Baytop, Jr., 41, on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church, 321 Center St., New Iberia, LA.  Pastor Allen Randle, Sr. will officiate service.

Visitation will commence at  8:00 AM and conclude at 11:00 AM, Friday at the church.

His earthly resting place will be in the mausoleum at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia, LA.

Percy was born to Johnnie Mae Butler and the late Percy Baytop, Sr. on Saturday, May 14, 1983 in Houma, LA. He attained his primary and high school education in various parishes in the state. and was a graduate of West Feliciana High School, Class of 2001.Some of his greatest joys were dancing, and playing dominoes.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents,, Johnny Butler, Virginia Thibodaux, Inez Baytop and Jacob Baytop, Sr.; and his fathers-in-law, Willie Provost and Connie Melton. Percy's earthly life came to a sudden end on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in New Orleans, LA "Gone Too Soon"

Percy's infectious smile, joyful spirit and every dance move he did will forever be etched in our memory and  embraced in our hearts by loving  his wife, Marquita Kay Baytop of New Iberia, LA(which to everyone, knew that was her :Pookie -Wookie" LA; his children, De'Andre Baytop, D'naija Johnson and A'Laija Johnson, all of New Iberia, LA, Precious Baytop, Kenya Lightfoot, A'Zyria Lewis and Sa'Rhi Webb, all of Franklin, LA;  his mother, Johnnie Mae Butler-Williams of New Iberia, LA; his siblings, Pernell Baytop of New Iberia, LA. Leroy (Jacinta) Gimms, III, of Broussard, LA, De'Quandre Baytop of Franklin, LA; sister (cousin), Roshonda Baytop of Lafayette, LA; his mother-in-law, Emily Melton of New Iberia, LA; two goddaughters, Avah Walker and Avaher Walker several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends, who will always possess a special love for Percy.  Rarely do you find someone like Percy, who touched so many lives in such a special way. " Always loved and never forgotten"
