Abbeville - A Celebration of Life for Mr. Norman Williams, 92 will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, 300 South Lamar Street, Abbeville LA. Rev. Willie Williams will serve as officiant.

He will be laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery in 515 Jacqulyn Street, Abbeville, LA.

Norman Williams, Sr. was born on Tuesday, August 22, 1933, to the union of the late Walter Williams, Sr. and Louise Johnson-Williams in Morbihan, LA. He was a faithful member of Mount Triumph Baptist Church. He was educated in Iberia Parish public school system and retired as a school bus driver for Vermillion Parish school system. He was also very proud to bartend at Abbeville Country Club in Abbeville, LA.

In addition to his parents, Norman was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Lucille Levine Williams and only son, Norman Williams, Jr.; siblings, Ida Williams, Arthur Williams, Daisy Jones, Walter Williams, Jr., Florence Walker, Martha Lewis and Leona Porter and Roy Williams, Sr.

After a full life Mr. Norman Williams, Sr. transitioned from labor to reward on Friday, September 5, 2025, in Lafayette, LA.

Those whom Norman leaves to cherish his life and legacy includes one sibling, Theresa McKelly, of New Iberia, LA, nephews, Minister Roy Williams Jr. of Pasadena, CA, Allen Jones (Dorothy) of New Iberia, Dalton Jones (Pearl), San Antonio, TX, Norris Walker, Jr.(Paula), of New Iberia, LA, Bishop Raymond Captville (Jenniver) of Baton Rouge, and Robert Alexander (Valerie) of Daly City, CA; and neices, Mary Jones Joseph of Lafayette, LA, Leona Mae Robertson (Walter) of New Iberia, LA, Linda Jones Antoine (Edward) of San Antonio, TX, Flora Walker Locks, Gertrude Walker Chretien (Willie, Sr.) Gladys Walker Mallory (Merrick, Jr.) and Mary McKelly all of New Iberia, LA, Bishop Raymond Captville (Jenniver) of Baton Rouge, Robert Alexander (Valerie) of Daly City, CA and host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
