Four Corners - Life Celebration for Mae Nell "Pookie" Stacy, 89, will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Baldwin Trinity United Methodist Church, 101 Main Street, Baldwin, Louisiana. Pastor Sherry Mathews will officiate.

Visitation will begin 10:00AM Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Baldwin Trinity United Methodist Church until the time of service.

She will be laid to rest to await the resurrection at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery 1244 Big 4 Corners Road, Four Corners, Louisiana.

Ms. Mae Nell Robinson Stacy affectionately known as "Pookie", was born on Thursday, March 19, 1936, in Four Corners, Louisiana, to the late Raymond and Philoman Matthews Robinson. She completed her education in St. Mary Parish, graduating from Willow Street High School in Franklin. In 1959, she married Wallace Stacy Jr., and the couple moved to Los Angeles, where they raised their family until returning to Louisiana in 1977 to be closer to relatives. Mae Nell dedicated her life to managing her household and caring for her family, including her parents, with a deep love for family at the core of her existence. She and her husband Wallace together decided to open up their home and share the love they had to offer with not only children in the community but any child that needed a place to call home.

Ms. Mae Nell was a dedicated member of St. John Baptist Church in Four Corners, LA, where she was baptized by the late Aaron Marks Sr. For over three decades, she served as an usher and was actively involved in the Pastor's Aid Committee and the Trustee Board, finding fulfillment in her contributions and the relationships she built within her church community. Additionally, she cherished a close friendship with a group of women, with whom she participated in a birthday club to celebrate each other's special days every month.

In addition to her parent's, she was greeted by her husband, Wallace Stacy, Jr., son, Aris Stacy, Sr., daughter, Latonya Stacy, and sisters, Florence Smith and Rena Welch.

Ms. Mae Nell leaves her legacy of love to daughters:  Kimberly Guy, and Phil Marie Burrell (Gary); son, Reginald Stacy; sister, Laura Diane Landry (Curley); grandchildren: Aris Stacy, Jr., Brandy Burrell Lewis (Jaylen), Bria Burrell Wilson (James), Tyrianna Nedd, Jasmine Brooks, Tailor Tauriac, Charlie Stacy, Zane Stacy, bonus grandchildren, Trone Boutte and Lloyd Boutte; in-laws: Alton Stacy (Joyce), Annie Lee Jackson (Isaiah), Bobbie Marks, and Alice Charles (Roland), special sister-in-law, Ella Stacy, special niece, Erna Burney, devoted neighbors, Kenneth and Phyllis Colar and a host of extended relatives and friends whom she cherished equally.

Her generosity and love for everyone was unmatched. Ms. Stacy exemplified 1Corinthians 13:4-7, "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

Ms. Stacy made her heavenly transition on Monday, November 24, 2025. She was a resident of Four Corners, LA.

The family has entrusted their loved one to the caring professionals at Davis Family Mortuary, 802 Weldon Street, New Iberia, LA.
