Crowley, LA – A Spirit‑filled celebration of thanksgiving and praise unto God for the blessed life of Lisa Gail Demuchest Rochester will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Bethel C.M.E. Church, 320 W. Hutchinson Ave., Crowley, LA, with Pastor Charles Rochester officiating.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Bethel C.M.E. Church and will continue prayerfully until the hour of service.

Lisa Gail Demuchest was born to Ulysses Demuchest, Sr. and Vera Lee Bolden Demuchest on December 4, 1964. Lisa gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of Bethel C.M.E. Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles Rochester, where she served as a Stewardess, Bulletin Secretary, Missionary President, Choir Member, 1st Vice President on the Lay Council, Board of Christian Education Member, and Prayer Warrior.

Lisa attended school here in Crowley, LA and was a 1982 Crowley High School graduate.  To further her education, Lisa attended the Vocational Technical College where she studied drafting and later graduated with a degree in Graphic Design.

Lisa was the proud mother of two beautiful daughters: Terry Lynn and Ayesha Lynn.  Lisa Gail Rochester later met and married the love of her life, Larry Rochester of Rayne, LA and was able to see her 34th wedding anniversary on Thursday, July 9, 2026.  Lisa was an extremely proud grandmother of her four beautiful and handsome grandchildren along with their many educational and athletic accomplishments.

Lisa was employed by Walmart, Crowley Garment Factory, Capitol Manufacturing Company, Neesie's Sweet Dough Pies, Inc., and LUS in Lafayette, LA for over 26 years and retired in 2022 due to illness.

She enjoyed hanging out with her family and grandchildren, graphic designing on clothing items and programs, cooking, sewing, working outside in her garden with her fruit and vegetable plants, meeting new people, and frequently visiting with people at The Way.

Lisa was preceded in death by her mother: Vera Lee Bolden Demuchest Spencer; stepfather: Ivory Spencer; one sister: Paulette Demuchest; stepmother: Mary Demuchest; maternal grandparents: John Bolden and Letha Davis George; step grandfather: Paul George; paternal grandparents; five uncles: Herbert Davis, Henry Bolden, Sr., Leneal Bolden, Sr, Wardell George, and Baldwin George; two aunts: Margaret Davis and Mary Lee Bazile; great uncles, great aunts, and so many other relatives.

At the age of 61, Lisa departed this life on earth and transitioned to her heavenly home on July 11, 2026, surrounded by her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. Lisa's favorite bible verse was Proverbs 3:5-6.  Thank God, I'm at rest.

Lisa leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband: Larry Rochester of Crowley, LA; two daughters: Terry Lynn Living (Terence) of Lafayette, LA; Ayesha Lynn George (Curtis) of Crowley, LA; four grandchildren: Skilyn, Aubrey, Kynlee, and Terence; two brothers: Ulysses Demuchest, Jr. and Leslie Demuchest both of Crowley, LA; five sisters: Gwendolyn Thibodeaux of Lafayette, LA Darlene Demuchest-Hawthorne (Gary) of LA Verne, CA, Denise Joseph of Sugarland, TX, Orita Dejean (Bryan) of Crowley, LA, and Deanna Demuchest of Crowley, LA; eleven nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and great nephews; four aunts: Corita Young of Beaumont, TX; Pauline Bush of Waldorf, MD, Charlene Sykes (Kelvin) of Houston, TX and Dora G. Johnson of Crowley, LA; one uncle: Ledell George, Sr. of Crowley, LA; two great uncles: Walter Davis, Sr. (Rosemary) and Uelton Davis of Opelousas, LA; one godchild: Trevon Kneeland; godmother: Charlene Sykes; best friend: Cynthia Scott; and a host of cousins, friends, and church family.

The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to the compassionate professionals of Davis Family Mortuary, 802 Weldon Street, New Iberia, LA. and 1302-A Main Street, Patterson, LA.
