NEW IBERIA - Services for Latonya Stacy 42, will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Davis Family Mortuary Chapel, 802 Weldon Street, New Iberia, LA. 70560. Pastor Cheryl Matthews, officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Davis Family Mortuary Chapel.

Final Resting will be at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery 1244 Big 4 Corners Road, Four Corners, Louisiana.

Latonya Lynn Stacy was born on January 13, 1983, in Thibodaux, LA, to Carol Soco and the late Sonny Lewis. At the age of seven, she and her one-year-old brother, Reggie, were welcomed into the home of Wallace Stacy Jr. and his wife, Mae Stacy, who later adopted them and embraced them as their own.

Latonya pursued her education in St. Mary Parish and earned a bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her journey was not without challenges, as she underwent dialysis treatment three times a week and faced frequent hospital visits.

As a child, Latonya was baptized at St. John Baptist Church in Four Corners, Louisiana, where her love for the Lord and her family began. She cherished time spent with her two daughters and her longtime companion, Jamie Brooks.

Latonya was preceded in death by her fathers, Sonny Lewis and Wallace Stacy Jr., as well as her brother, Aris Stacy Sr. She passed away peacefully at her home on July 27, 2025, at 12:36 AM.

She leaves behind a loving legacy, including her mother, Mae Nell Stacy of Four Corners, LA; her two daughters, Tyriana Ned of Baldwin, LA, and Jasmine Brooks of Centerville, LA; her companion, Jamie Brooks of Jeanerette, LA; her sisters, Kimberly Guy of New Iberia, LA, and Phil (Gary) Burnell of Franklin, LA; her brother, Reginald Mitchell of Four Corners, LA; and a wealth of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

May her life remain a cherished memory for all who knew her.
