Remembering Jeffery James Archangel, Jr.

New Iberia – A Celebration of Life for Jeffery James Archangel, Jr, 59, will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Believer's Family Worship Center, 1604 East Admiral Doyle Dr., New Iberia, LA. Pastor Greg Daye will officiate the celebration.

Visitation will begin at 8:00 AM and conclude at 10:00 AM, Saturday at the church.

The family will have a private interment.

Born on Thursday, August 19, 1965, in San Antonio, Texas to Jeffery Archangel, Sr and the late Bobbie Hasting  Archangel. Jeffery grew up with a deep passion for music and a love for serving others. He graduated from New Iberia Senior High School in 1983 before continuing his education at Houston Community College. His academic journey also led him to the U.S. Army Reserves AIT training at Fort Benjamin Harris, where he studied finance accounting and CRT training. Later in life, he pursued further education at My Computer Career at Indianapolis College, earning a certification in cybersecurity.

Jeffery proudly served in the United States Army Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1987 were he obtained Army service ribbons for Rifle Marksman, Grenade Expert and Financial Specialist. His professional career was diverse, holding a CDL license and was owner of J&J Trucking, and working as a car salesman, and was even afforded the opportunity to own his own used car lot, Archangel Auto Sales which was his lifelong dream. Regardless of his occupation, he was known for his vibrant personality, infectious laugh and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

A man of faith, Jeff accepted Christ into his life and was an active member of Believer's Family Worship Center. He dedicated himself to serving alongside his sister as a sound technician and was an integral part of the BFWC Men's Group and Missions Team. His love for music was evident in everything he did, and he found joy in using his talents to uplift those around him.

He was preceded in death by his mother and best friend, Bobbie Jean Hasting Carter; maternal grandparents Claude Lee Hasting and Bernice Bertha Hasting; paternal grandparents Linzer Archangel and Margaret Broussard Archangel; and one uncle, Sylvester Antoine.  On February 8, 2025, at 8:40AM, at his residence in Olivier, Louisiana, Jeffery James "Lil' Jeff" Archangel Jr., 59, won the victory overextended illness and received his glorified body!

Jeffery leaves precious memories with  his parents, Bishop Jeffery James Archangel Sr. and Dr. Sandra Archangel of New Iberia, Louisiana; his son, Jeffery Cordero Archangel (mother, Andria Valentine) of Houston, Texas; his daughter, Jasmine Angele Archangel (mother, Anette Z. Archangel) of Houston, Texas; five sisters: Lisa White (Kevin) of Pearland, Texas; Nicole Archangel; Kellie Washington (Craig); Jennifer Otero (Lazaro); and Jessica Archangel, all of New Iberia, Louisiana; one brother, Stephen Archangel (Rosezaling) of Katy, Texas; two aunts, Darlene George Hasting, of Houston Tx., and Barnerese Archangel of Olivier, Louisiana; as well as a close-knit group of friends whom he considered brothers: Darryl Charles, Rev. Jonathan Daye, Taras Hughes, Johnny Babar, Jimmy Babar, Ernest Williams, Jr., Willie Carter and Richard Landry.

Jeff will be remembered for his kindness toward others, his unwavering faith, his will to overcome adversity and the joy he brought to those around him through music and service. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
