Dorothy "Dottie" Narcisse

St. Martinville – A Homegoing Celebration for Dorothy Ann Perrio- Narcisse, 74, will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at House Of Love Full Gospel Ministry, 700 W. Church Street, St. Martinville, LA.  Pastor Oscar Gray will officiate the service.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.

Her earthly resting place will be in the  House Of Love Cemetery, awaitin,g the rapture.

Dorothy was born on Tuesday, July 4,1950 to the late Rena Smith Perrio and Bennett Perrio Sr. in St. Martinville, LA, where she built her legacy.  She married the love of her life Dennis Narcisse, Sr. and they were blessed with 4 children.

In April of 2023, the love-birds celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.

Her faith was unwavering in the Lord and she was a longtime member of House of Love Full Gospel Ministry, where she served faithfully as a deaconess.

She enjoyed making memories with everyone, especially her family at gatherings, bingo and community events.  She was a fabulous dancer who always seemed to steal the show at any party she attended. She kept up with every move that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren would display. The much needed laughs she would bring by playing her favorite gangster character "Madea" and the hugs she would share during one of her favorite holidays which was Christmas while she dressed as the community Santa Clause was magnificent.

A nurturing woman with such a giving spirit.  With not much she would make plenty because her determination to bless strangers during the holidays was phenomenal.  She had no problem praying, feeding, clothing or helping anybody.

On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, God decided to whisper to Dorothy to come over to her heavenly home.  She answered that call while being  surrounded by her family and friends who loved her dearly.  She went back into the arms of her husband and parents.  She was also preceded in death by her sister Agnes Wiltz, niece Franchella Roberts, god-mother Willie Mae Mays and son-in-law, Alvin Williams.

Dorothy's life and legacy will always be cherished and forever remembered by her children Dennis (Tangie) Narcisse Jr., Tracie (Donald) Mitchell, Melinda (Lawrence Sr.) Mitchell. and Shontell ( Jerik) Green all of St. Martinville, La; six siblings, Johnnie Mae (Collins Sr.) Roberts, Phyllis Jones, Philomene (Jessie) Benjamin, Bennett Perrio Jr., Sidney (Stephanie) Savoy and Peter Savoy; in-law, Marie (Allen Sr.) Davis, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, god-children, relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
