NEW IBERIA - Funeral services for David Lee Hill, will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 11:00AM at Davis Family Mortuary Chapel, 802 Weldon Street, New Iberia, LA 70560. Pastor Tammy Martin will serve as officiate.

Visitation will begin at 9:00AM in the funeral home chapel and conclude at the time of service.

David Lee Hill was born on Sunday, October 13, 1952, to the late Wilbert Hill Jr. and Mary Lean Walker Hill in Lafayette, La. He was educated in Iberia Parish, spent some time working at the Cargill Salt Mine on Avery Island, and later finished his educational journey in Job Corp.

David was a fun-loving individual. He was a self-proclaimed million-dollar man who could do million-dollar things! Though he faced many challenges, he was able to find peace and comfort spending time with his many cats, and on several occasions found ways to laugh, joke and bring happiness while on his many walks through town greeting members of the community.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert Hill Jr. and Mary Lean Walker Hill; sister, Connie Hill; paternal grandparents, Wilbert Hill Sr. and Dorothy Hill; and maternal grandparents, Oliver Walker and Bessie Gaddison Walker.

David Lee leaves unforgettable memories to his siblings: Ruth Hill, Cheryl Hill, Beulah Hill, Lena Hill, Dorothy Gardner, Althea Thomas, Becky Etienne, Tammy Martin, Raymond Walker (Hilda), Glen Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended relatives and friends.

David's memory will continue to live on in the lives of those who loved and cared for him. He transitioned on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 10:10AM. He was 73 years old.
