New Iberia - Service of Remembrance for Dashonn Davis, will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Davis Family Mortuary, 802 Weldon Street, New Iberia, LA.

The family may be greeted Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM until the time of service.

Inurnment will be held at Holy Family Cemetery, 2807 N Curtis Lane, New Iberia, LA 70560 immediately following his Service of Remembrance.

Dashonn Leonardo Davis was born on March 29, 1976, to Wanda Grayson in Enid, OK. Dashonn moved to New Iberia LA as a small child. After attending school in New Iberia, Dashonn later joined Job Corps in Kentucky. Dashonn worked many years in restaurants, where cooking became his passion. Dashonn later moved to San Antonio, TX and worked many years doing demolition work. Dashonn loved to make everyone feel loved. When Dashonn was around, he kept everyone laughing, with the silly things he would say. Dashonn has left many wonderful memories as a son, brother, father, uncle, and as a friend.

Dashonn leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Dalaila Anderson of Houston, TX, his brother Antwoine Davis of Austell, GA, his sisters Sheila Davis of Lafayette, LA, Latonya Davis kd Arlington, TX, Carlotta Davis of Port Allen, LA, Rhacindra Davis (Edward) of Lafayette, LA, Shalenia Davis Reed (Deric Sr.) of Atlanta, GA, Mesha Grayson of Converse, TX and Katrina Grayson (Kevin) of New Iberja, LA. Dashonn also leaves behind three nephews Darrius Davis of Covington, LA, Eddie Anderson III of Lafayette, LA, Deric Reed Jr.(Abria) of Orlando, FL, nieces Khantisha Grayson of Lafayette, LA, Aerreonna Grayson of Lafayette, LA, India Rodgers of Converse, TX, Tytiauna Reed of Orlando, FL, Kaiya Murdock of New Iberia, LA, Jasmine Batiste of New Iberia, LA, Avery Rodgers of Converse, TX and one great niece Rye Grayson Auguillard of Lafayette LA and one aunt Vernice Rhomes of Oklahoma, OK.

Dashonn was preceded in death by his mother Wanda Grayson, stepfather John Leon Grayson. brother Torroun Davis, sister Tamara Davis, maternal grandmother Katie Belle Gaines, stepbrother John Leon Grayson Jr., and stepsister Marcella Grayson.

Dashonn was a native of Enid, OK and a resident of San Antonio, TX. He passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025. He was 49 years old.

The family has entrusted their loved one to the caring professionals at Davis Family Mortuary, 802 Weldon Street, New Iberia, LA.
