Patterson - A Mass of Christian Burial for Cynthia Marie Prince will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1011 1st Street, Patterson, LA.

Quiet Hour will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 4:00PM and conclude at 6:00PM

Final Viewing will resume Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 9:00 AM with a recitation of the rosary to begin at 9:30AM at Davis Family Mortuary Chapel, 1308-A Main Street, Patterson, LA and conclude at 10:30AM

Cynthia Marie Prince was born on August 4, 1968, in Opelousas, Louisiana, to her parents, Rose Bell Sam and Leo Prince Sr. She was one of four children. Cynthia attended Morgan City High School, where she was a proud member of the graduating class of 1988.

On September 6, 2001, Cynthia embraced one of her greatest joys in life when she became a mother, giving birth to her beloved daughter, Jalisa Ariana Nico.

Cynthia was a dedicated and hardworking individual. She spent 39 years of service as an essential employee at McDonald's, where she worked her way up from a cashier and fry cook to a Swing Shift Manager. Her strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment were evident
throughout her long career.

Outside of her professional life, Cynthia also lent a helping hand to her sister Melissa at "LittleGiggles Daycare," where she shared her caring and nurturing spirit with children.

In her free time, Cynthia found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending quality time with her family, enjoying a good movie, indulging in good food, and sharing plenty of laughter. She cherished spontaneous weekend shopping trips with her cousin and sister. Cynthia had a special love for fragrances, always appreciating a great sale at Bath & Body Works, and she enjoyed accessorizing with beautiful statement jewelry pieces.

Cynthia is proceeded in death by her mother, Rose Bell Sam; paternal grandparents, Lee and Cora Prince; maternal grandparents, Mavin and Virigina (Virgie) Sam; uncles: Joesph Sam, Raymond Owens, Sr., and Milton Paul Prince; aunts: Audrey Prince-Owens, Wila Mae Sam- Prince; cousins: Joseph (Poochie) Sam, Jr., Dewight Pelican, Jermiah Owens, Antoinette Owens, and Jamiree Broussard.

She leaves to cherish the memories of her life to her father, Leo Prince, Sr. (Patterson, La.); daughter, Jalisa Ariana Nico of Patterson, La; granddaughter, Jalah Benjamin; two brothers: Leo Jr. (Lakesha) of New Iberia, LA, and Demetrice Prince (Tessa) of London, OH; three
nephews: Jarvis Tarleton, Alexander Bennet and Dreaux Prince; four nieces: Jada Tarleton, Leah Prince, Makayla Prince, Teylor Prince; two great-nephews: Levi Rosette and Jayden Robertson; one godchild, Dyanni Colar and extended relatives and friends.

After a valiant fight with illness, Cynthia Marie Prince won the victory and received her new body on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the age of 57. "Therefore, my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure." – Psalm 16:9
