New Iberia - A Homegoing Celebration for Bryant Marks, Sr., 62, will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11 AM at Davis Family Mortuary Chapel, 802 Weldon St., New Iberia, LA. with Bishop Darren Sophus as Officiant.

Visitation will begin at 8:00 AM and conclude at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Funeral Home.

Entombment will follow the service at Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Necotown, La.

Bryant Marks, Sr., was born on Thursday, December 13, 1962. Bryant was a person that will give you a helping hand when needed, especially when you need your car repaired. He was a member of Sons of Kings Community Outreach.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Marks, Sr. and Bertha Jacquet; one son, Bryant Marks, Jr.; two sisters, Eloise Shelvin and Debra Price; one brother, Alfred Marks, Jr.; grandparents, Randolph and Lena Cormier Jacquet and Farris and Georgiana Porter Marks. Bryant passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

Bryant leaves to cherish his fond memories: his wife,  Bernetta Thibeaux-Marks; four sons, Keary Mouton,  Candom Jefferson, both of New Iberia, LA, Joseph  Johnson of Denver, CO, and Brock Marks of Haven,  KS; eight daughters, Sha'Keidra Marks of Dallas,  TX, Brylicia Marks, Bryancia Marks, Zionah Price,  all of New Iberia, LA, Latoya Barkless of Texas City,  TX, Jade Thibodeaux of Lafayette, LA, and Bryleigh  Thibodeaux, Bayleigh Marks of Haven, KS; six sisters,  Jacqueline Marks, Beverly (John) Ledet, Michelle  (Everette) Manuel, Karen Marks, all of New Iberia, LA,  Joshelyn Marks of Seattle, WA, and Bertha Davis of  Euless, TX; three brothers, Dr. Kevin Troy (Antoinette) Marks of Katy, TX, Harold Marks of New Iberia, LA,  and Jerome Marks of Lafayette, LA; a special friend, Felicia Provost of New Iberia, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles  nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
