A private memorial service will be held by the family of Aronald Ralph Wiggins, Jr. at a later date.

Aronald Ralph Wiggins, Jr. was born on March 5, 1957, in Franklin, Louisiana. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the age of 68. He was the beloved son of the late Aronald Ralph Wiggins, Sr. and Emma Dell Randle Wiggins.

He graduated from Franklin Senior High School, where he was known for his quiet strength, sharp mind, and kind heart. After graduation, he moved to Houston Texas where be built a life rooted in hard work and dedication. He worked as a truck driver for many years, a profession that reflected his independence, reliability, and love of the open road.

Aronald departed this life surrounded by family at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend--a man whose presence brought comfort and steadiness to those around him.

To many, he was best known as Ralph, Skull, or 8-ball—nicknames that reflected his vibrant personality and the deep connections he formed throughout his life. But perhaps most famously, he was known as "The Cracklin Man."  Making cracklin wasn't just a pastime—it was his passion, his art, and his way of bringing people together. Whether at family gatherings or community events, Ralph's cracklin were legendary, as so was the joy he shared through them.

In addition to his parents, Aronald was preceded in death by one daughter, Nakeisha Monique Lewis, one niece, Nedra Evone Cage, and one nephew, Nikalas Shawn Darden.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Rena Ann Wiggins; four daughters: Chanelle Evone Wiggins and Cherelle Evone Wiggins-Burns, both of Houston, TX., Natasha Renee Thomas and Niesha Racquel Lewis, both of New Iberia, LA; and one son, Latroy Johnson of Springfield, MA.; one sister, Evelyn Darden of San Antonio, TX; two brothers: Lionell Wiggins of Franklin, LA, and Eric James Randle (Claudia) of Four Corners, LA; one loving cousin, Denise Randle of Houston, TX.; and his "second mom," as he lovingly called her, Barbara Wilson (John) of Houston, TX. Aronald was a proud grandfather of nine grandchildren, two cherished godchildren, Andrea Sauls and Deandre Tillman and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Aronald will be remembered for the love he gave, the roads he traveled, and the flavor he brought to life—one crackling at a time!
