Humble, TX - With deep sorrow and unwavering trust in God's eternal grace, the Benoit and Jackson family shares the tender news of the passing of Amber Michelle Jackson Benoit, age 48. Though their hearts ache, they rest in the blessed assurance that Amber now dwells in the peaceful presence of our Lord, held safely in His everlasting arms.

She entered her heavenly rest on Saturday, August 8, 2026, completing her earthly journey with quiet dignity and faith. Amber was a resident of Humble, TX and a native of New Iberia, LA.

A service to celebrate Amber's life will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 414 Weeks Street, New Iberia, LA, Rev. Sandy Archangel, eulogist.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and conclude at the time of service.

Amber Jackson Benoit was born on Saturday, April 22, 1978, to the union of Earl R. Jackson, Sr. and Jane P. Jackson. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Larry Norbert. A faithful and active member of her church family, Amber served in the Sunshine Choir, Youth Choir, and Praise Team, and also helped direct the Young Adult Choir. She graduated from New Iberia Senior High School in 1996.

Amber was a beautiful soul whose presence could light up any room. She loved reading, writing poetry, singing, and spending time with family and friends. Her kindness knew no limits, and she never met a stranger. Amber gave wholeheartedly, always willing to lend a helping hand, offer a listening ear, or provide words of encouragement. She enjoyed modeling, sharing the Word of the Most High, and uplifting others through prayer and service. Her faith was evident in the way she loved and cared for people.

On August 8, 2014, Amber married the love of her life, Brandon. Their love was one marked by devotion, partnership, and purpose. The two were inseparable and shared a passion for helping others. After relocating to Houston, Texas, they devoted themselves to serving their community by preparing meals for the homeless, founding AB Roux, and anonymously providing book bags filled with school supplies to children each year. They frequently shared food from their personal pantry with anyone in need, never seeking recognition for their generosity.

Amber was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James Polk, Sr. and Louise Chatman Polk; her paternal grandparents, Willie Livingson and May Ruth Jackson Simon; her mother-in-law, Velma Benoit; her sister, Katrina Rankin; and her nephew, Marcus Alexis.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Cherishing her sweet, joyful, and heartfelt memories are her devoted husband of twelve years, Brandon Benoit; her loving parents, Earl R. Jackson, Sr. and Jane P. Jackson; six sisters: Tiffanie Jackson, Bridgette (Jonah Sr.) Linzer, Renata Jackson, and Sloan Moses, all of New Iberia, Louisiana; Angel (Derix Sr.) Paloade of Snellville, Georgia; and Kami Jackson of Conyers, Georgia; her sister-in-love, Latonya Benoit of Jeanerette, Louisiana; four brothers: Earl R. Jackson, Jr. of Houston, Texas; Marcus (Andrea) Rankin of Pembroke, Georgia; and Eric Rankin and Jamal Rankin, both of New Iberia, Louisiana; her father-in-law, Larry Mouton of New Iberia, Louisiana; and her cherished "babies," Taquella and Malyra Youman, Ke'Ajah Jackson, Ashleigh Landers, Derix Paloade, Jr., Jordan, Justin, and Jonah Linzer, Jr., Phillip, Kamille, and Kamryn Jones, Nylah Dauzart, Aisaiah Jackson, Jacorrie, Jacoy, and Laila Benoit, Marquisha Alexis, Ari Alexander, Kaycie Bourgeois, Jamal Rankin, Jr. and Paige Bourgeois, along with a host of beloved extended relatives, and dear friends whom she loved immensely.

Amber's life was a shining example of compassion, generosity, and faith. Though she will be deeply missed, the light she shared with the world will continue to shine through the countless lives she touched.
